Christ Church Names Book ’Em July Ministry of the Month
A local congregation’s recognition celebrates the community behind every book we give.

Christ Church in downtown Macon featured Book ’Em as its July Ministry of the Month in the June/July 2026 issue of The Chimes.
The feature introduces our partnership with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, recognizes parishioner Katie Powers as Book ’Em’s executive director, and invites readers to support our work through donations.
More than 60,000 books.
Countless possibilities.
The newsletter reports that Book ’Em had delivered more than 60,000 new books to children and youth across Macon-Bibb County by the time of publication.
It also looks back at our Rosa Taylor Elementary giveaway, where 405 students could each choose four new books to keep for summer reading.
