Four Books Each: Book ’Em Visits Rosa Taylor Elementary
A schoolwide giveaway put summer reading choices into the hands of 405 students.
In May 2026, Book ’Em visited Rosa Taylor Elementary School in Macon for a schoolwide book giveaway. Each of the school’s 405 students had the opportunity to choose four brand-new books to keep—more than 1,600 books for reading beyond the classroom.
The choice was theirs.
Students browsed tables of colorful titles, opened pages, and compared their finds. With stories, facts, and familiar favorites to explore, the day gave children a chance to pick books that caught their own interest.
The goal was simple: send students into summer with books they wanted to read and could return to at home.
A community effort for young readers.
