Book ‘Em hosted its 4th annual school wide book giveaway at Florence Bernd Elementary School on February 14, 2019. All of the 430 students in Pre-K through 5th grade were able to choose five brand new books to take home to either begin or add to their own personal libraries. Members of the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office were on hand to assist the students with their book selections. This book giveaway was made possible with the assistance of support from Powers Law Group, the Dunlap-Youmans Fund, Rotary Club of Macon North, The Junior League of Macon, The McClure Family Foundation, and multiple donations from individuals and families.
